Welcome - Key Three-Way Handshakes

When New Zealand won the Rugby World Cup, their loyal Prime Minister was at the scene. He reached out to congratulate the team's captain - Richie McCaw - just as another man began to shake McCaw's hand. Rather than back down, Key stood his ground, and the three-way handshake was born.

On October 29th, a tumblr feed was set up to immortalise that moment with memes. It's called Key Three-Way Handshakes and you can find it here: http://keyhandshake.tumblr.com. The idea is to insert the Prime Minister into history's more normal handshakes, fist bumps, hand-kisses and cliff-top rescues. The feed's meant in the spirit of good fun, and so far has caused a great deal of laughter throughout New Zealand.

The site's traffic started slowly, then spread like wildfire throughout the world of social media. Facebook, Twitter, Reddit all began to contribute massive amounts of visitors to the Key Three-Way Handshakes site. New Zealanders are once again united by John Key's handshake, and will continue to be amused for days to come as more images are uploaded.
